Hello - fellow Soduskins!

So here it is...a communication center, if you will - for the planning of our 20th class reunion! Which is only a few short years away in 2012!! Please let me know what idea's and thoughts you have, or what you expect our 20th reunion to be like! Perhaps you've been to someone elses reunion recently and there was something about it you really liked - give us your ideas!

FYI - the class account no longer has funds. Therefore, does anyone have ideas on how we could raise money over the next couple of years to put towards the cost of the reunion? We also have the option of dividing out the cost(s) of the event evenly at the time of the reunion (FYI - this could be costly)! I need your thoughts and ideas on this. Please let me know, after I've received some ideas, I will place a gadget on the blog, in which everyone can "vote" for the option they feel is the best resolution!

All ideas are welcome - not just on the above topic of money. Thanks - Check back soon!

  1. Monica, thanks for getting this started! I appreciate all of the time and thought you've put into organizing over the years!

What about adding a "Chip In" gadget to this site that would allow us to make donations to a paypal account that can be used to cover at least some of the start-up expenses for getting this organized? (http://chipin.com)

We must have a creative type among us... how about designing some reunion-wear that could be sold via CafePress.com or similar site? Profits could be donated to the reunion start-up fund. Even better if we had an alum who had a connection in this field...

  2. Perhaps we aught to bake cupcakes and then have our celebrity friends buy them for $1000 a pop. . .

Oh, wait. That was The Celebrity Apprentice. . .

CafePress is an OK idea and it's certainly worth a little change. But from experience, the shirts cost enough that the markup that would make it lucrative is prohibitive of buying them. A tee shirt is $15, so you might get two bucks extra over that.

I'd say the ChipIn thing or something like it might be better, along with some good, old fashioned browbeating. Lord knows, we're not the sales force graduating class.
